Quartz (scepter crystals)

Item Description

This remote Chinese locality in northern China for several yeaers has been a consistent and prolific producer of fine quality crystallized specimens. Even common species like Quartz have been found in exemplary display pieces like this one. This big, dramatic and downright beautiful large cabinet display specimen hosts several fine quality scepter habit Quartz crystals, with notably sharp, well-formed, lustrous GEMMY colorless terminations, that transition into light pale golden colored "cactus" habit style growth along the prisms. A small amount of soft grey-green colored Hedenbergite can be seen included inside a few of the smaller Quartz crystals for a nice touch. Minor matrix is present, but the piece is largely just intergrown Quartz crystals in a highly aesthetic and three-dimensional presentation. The piece is in superb condition, as I cannot find any major damage to the Quartz crystals anywhere. A fantastic, big, showy example of this gorgeous and distinctive material. Valued $7,500.
