A showy and uncommon plate from this less well-known Peruvian locale. Sprays of glassy milky quartz points are aesthetically scattered on the trigonal mounds of tiny, pastel-pink, flatted rhodochrosite rhombs. Could these mounds be rhodochrosite pseudomorphs after tetrahedrite crsytals? The underlying matrix is massive rhodochrosite.
