Item Description
An attractive small cabinet sized specimen from a find in the early 2000s in the Little Giant Basin of the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. This piece features attractive tapered crystals of Quartz which have multi-generational deposition, as the center of the crystals (best seen on the back where the piece is contacted) are rather gemmy and colorless, but have been overgrown by a latter generation of light grey sugary Quartz crystals. If you look closely, a couple of the crystals featuring tiny "reverse scepter" habit terminations, and this style / morphology is not commonly seen in Quartz in specimens from the Little Giant Basin.
