Quartz (red)

Item Description

Perched high atop its matrix is a single, lustrous and translucent, hematite-included quartz crystal, 2.8 cm in length. The quartz crystal is a brick red color. A fine and unusual Spanish specimen, embedded on a classic Triassic gypsum from Teruel, Aragon, Spain. These ar every rare in such a quality and difficult to value. At least in the USA, we see only those of much lesser quality. I am told these date to the 1970s in many cases.
