Item Description
An attractive Quartz specimen from the little known Highland Mary in Cunningham Gulch east of Silverton. This display quality cabinet features a predominant, doubly-terminated, 8.1 cm crystal of milky white Quartz along with many smaller Quartz crystals on host rock matrix. There is a slight secondary overgrowth of tiny white Quartz crystals on top of the first generation of Quartz. This is one of the few pieces I've seen from this locality and it would make a great addition to any Quartz suite or a collection of Colorado minerals. Most of the crystals are undamaged, and the piece displays nicely as you can see from the photos. Valued at $1,400 for size, quality and the rare locale. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California.
