Quartz (rare blue color)

Item Description

Quartz is found in virtually every color of the rainbow, thanks in part to inclusions of other minerals. This piece is a rarely seen example of blue Quartz, featuring a few highly lustrous and translucent, sharp, well-formed Quartz crystals which are colorless but show a strange blue color from inclusions of what is either Tourmaline or perhaps an Amphibole species. The lower portion of the piece is a very pale smoky hue, and does not have the blue inclusions. A cool piece for any fan of worldwide Quartz or "inclusion" minerals.
