Quartz & Pyrite (New Find)

Item Description

A stunning, large quartz and pyrite combination from the NEW July, 2015 find at the Mundo Nuevo Mine. The dramatic spray and cascading nest of glassy, water-clear to frosted quartz points is dramatically flanked by outstanding, supremely lustrous and beautifully striated, pyritohedrons to 3.6 cm. A few sharp, silver-metallic tetrahedrites at the top of the pyrites on the right is a super accent. The striking, dominating quartz crystal is over 5.0 cm long. Essentially pristine. You can barely tell, that there a few broken quartz points in the dense field and the broken quartz on the back of the large spray is out-of-sight. Valued at $1500-2000 and worth it.
