Porcupine "quills" of water-clear, tapered quartz crystals are studded on the 3-dimensional matrix of mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite pyritohedrons on this excellent and classy combination specimen rom the famous Animon Mine at Huaron in Peru. The form and balance, plus the very few broken crystals make for an aesthetic combination piece. Specimens of this very fine quality came out in the mid-1980s. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
