Item Description
A rarely seen example of Quartz from the Gouverneur Talc Company Valentine Mine featuring sharp, lustrous, well-formed, pseudo-cubic crystals of Quartz with notable Hematite / iron inclusions to create a lovely two-tone effect. To be fair, the label calls the crystals pseudo-cubic, but if you orient them correctly, you can see the hexagonal form. Good quality all around, and certainly uncommon on the market. A cabinet display piece like this is not common from this locality. The largest crystal measures 2.6 cm. Attention Quartz collectors and New York mineral collectors, here's a cool piece to add to your collection!
