Item Description
A VERY RARE and sculptural pseudomorph combination from the famous mines at Dalnegorsk. Lustrous, glassy quartz have replaced striking elongated columns of pseudo-hexagonal aragonite crystals. Secondary preferential overgrowths of tan siderite disks add a surreal and colorful component to exotic rarity. Aragonite is EXTREMELY RARE from Dalnegorsk. This striking, unusual 360-degree piece is nearly pristine, with only out-of-sight contacting on the back. MINDAT lists the species, but there are no examples in the locality Photo Gallery. A rare, perhaps UNIQUE pseudomorph from here. Valued at $295 by the former dealer and certainly worth it.
