Item Description
A rare and excellent pseudomorph from a very obscure Argentina locale in Chubut Province. A sculptural and striking floater intergrown cluster of sharply hexagonal aragonite crystals has been pseudomorphed by quartz. The included hematite gives the translucent crystals a reddish-brown color. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, the trivial bit of bruising is out-of-sight on the back. A fascinating and rare 360-degree pseudo from the Dave Stout Collection, a petroleum geologist who lived and worked in Buenos Aires.
