Item Description
A RARE and sculptural pseudomorph from an obscure Argentina locale in Chubut Province. Brick-red, hematite-included, moderately translucent quartz has replaced a striking radiating nodule of terminated, pseudo-hexagonal cyclically-twinned aragonite prisms. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, the small attachment on the back is out-of-sight. A fascinating and RARE 360-degree Argentina specimen from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named. Acquired from respected rarities dealer Pequa Minerals (Josef Vajdak). A MUST for the pseudomorph, quartz or Argentina collector.
