Item Description

A VERY RARE and impressive large pseudomorph combination from the famous mines at Concepcion del Oro. MINDAT does not list anhydrite for the district, but the aesthetic quartz crystal plate is dramatically littered with drusy quartz cast pseudos after textbook anhydrite crystals. The numerous hollow pseudos, especially the hollow side-by-side pair and section of a much larger anhydrite on one edge add real pizzazz to this unique rarity. The quartz style is definitely Concepcion del Oro. The interior of this stunning and rare large 360-degree piece is pristine. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and formerly in the Scott Williams Collection. The pseudos were not stibnite crystals. Too large. Older material, undoubtably from the 1960s or 70s. Valued at $1000 for unique rarity, quality and large size. A must for the locality or species collector.
