Item Description
A really beautiful and interesting polished cross-section slice of Quartz from Sakhan-gyi featuring a completely colorless, WATER CLEAR outer "rind" surrounding a golden translucent interior "core". The textbook hexagonal form of the crystal is beautifully preserved as you can see. This is the kind of stone that could be easily set into jewelry (i.e. wire-wrapping) or would make a great addition to any gem crystal or inclusion collection. The piece weighs 9.92 carats and measures 17.49 mm x 14.91 mm x 4.04 mm. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
