Item Description

A unique and interesting Quartz specimen from Brazil featuring several different unknown inclusions. It's safe to say that Quartz is the most "inclusion friendly" mineral species in the world, and crystals like this are a great example. This razor-sharp, highly lustrous, hexagonal crystal features cool-looking inclusions that create various golden and brown hues, along with eye-catching shapes and even a thin "phantom" zoning that can be seen when the crystal is backlit. My best guess is that the inclusions are some kind of oxide species like Rutile, but it's impossible to know for certain without having the piece analyzed, which would prove quite difficult. If you like Quartz or unusual inclusion specimens, this is certainly a strange and possibly unique specimen for your collection, as I can't remember seeing another quite like it.
