Item Description

Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing Apatite specimens. This piece is a single crystal of Quartz that has been completely polished on nearly every side, but if you look closely, you can see there is a distinct and eye-catching internal "phantom" with the same shape as the pyramidal termination on the piece, and in the center of the crystal you can see many translucent, green color, prismatic hexagonal Apatite crystals which are completely frozen inside. One side of the crystal is not polished, revealing a small patch of tan colored Siderite that still remains on the surface. The piece can be displayed from a few angles, and each side creates a different perspective and appreciation for what's going on below the surface. Priced in our inventory at $975.
