The Corinto area is well-known for excellent quartz specimens from the sandstones diggings here. This very sculptural and aesthetic 360-degree small cabinet of limpid, very glassy crystals is dominated by the impressive, large 7.2 cm crystal with the striking sharp angled termination. The quartz speckles embedded on the back side of the large crystal add character. Essentially pristine, with only a few trivial wilbers scattered about. These crystals look in appearance to those produced from the sandstones in the Hot Springs area of Arkansas. Classic and excellent Brazilian quartz. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 155.
