Quartz on Tourmaline (ex Roland Gioia Collection)

Item Description

Sharp, VERY gemmy, well-formed, prismatic Quartz crystals sit atop multicolored Tourmaline matrix from Brazil. I can see both left and right-handed habits on the two largest Quartz crystals. The base of the piece is opaque black Schorl Tourmaline, but if you look at the back of the piece, you can a see a well-pronounced Tourmaline with a gemmy green and slightly blue termination. A really nice combo specimen with good aesthetics, balance and color.
