Sparkling, glassy, quartz crystals fill a sculptural vug perched atop a layered matrix of malachite, chrysocolla and quartz on this showy and excellent specimen from the well-known Ray Mine. Quartz specimens, such as this, are actually quite uncommon from this noted locale.
