Item Description

Here we have a classic specimen from the famous Iron Cap Mine in Arizona. This locality is best known for its fine quality GEM green Sphalerites, arguably some of the best from any locality in the Western Hemisphere. This piece is a lovely specimen featuring sharp, prismatic, slightly reddish-brown, lustrous hexagonal crystals of Quartz (some of which are doubly-terminated) measuring up to 1.3 cm long on bladed green Hedenbergite on matrix. The piece comes with a label from Dick Morris and Mark Hay (Arizona Minerals).
