Quartz on Chrysocolla & Chrysocolla (Gary Weaver Coll.)

Item Description

Mineral specimens, in general, are uncommon from this large well-known extinct open pit and underground copper mine. A sculptural 4.5 cm quartz crystal lined vug hosts a beautiful 2.0 cm sky-blue chrysocolla botryoid, that is covered by drusy quartz. There's another smaller ball in the interior of the vug. The sculptural large oxide-coated quartz matrix is richly coated on all sides with turquoise-blue and blue-green chrysocolla crusts. An uncommonly fine and rich large Bagdad Mine chrysocolla and quartz combination from the Gary Weaver Collection.
