Item Description
Colorful, multi-hued drusy quartz coats an impressive, sculptural, elongated, 16.7 cm vug with a striking "porch" lined with botryoidal chrysocolla on this wonderful large specimen from the famous Ray Mine. The striking banding and variable hues of chrysocolla matrix add even more allure and color to this artistic large piece. Mass is 1589 grams or 3.5 pounds. Collected in the Fall of 2009 and valued by the former dealer at $1750 - more than a decade ago! This material generally has increased in value in time, and this is a large specimen to survive. Ex David Stoudt Southwest Collection. Outstanding and classic large quartz-coated chrysocolla from the mine.
