An adorable, most sculptural combination miniature from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. A striking, gem, tabular, terminated, 3.0 cm, quartz crystal "sail" is dramatically set on the metallic, lustrous, striated bournonite crystal. The well-placed jackstraw cluster of smaller quartz points, "sail" crystal clarity with high lustre and riveting stepped-growth faces add real pizzazz to this 360-degree cutie. The "sail" is nearly pristine, with only a slight bruise at the tip. The fat end of the bournonite is terminated and etched and the other end is contacted. An utterly fascinating and aesthetic 360-degree combination - rare in this quality. Older material from 1990s finds.
