Quartz on blue Fluorite

Sumptuous beautiful lagoonal teal to aqua blue Fluorite covered with a secondary growth of tiny gem Quartz crystals. The Fluorites consist of larger intergrown cubes that have sharp, very small, stepped growth cubic crystals up to 7 mm that are so glassy and transparent you have to look close to see them. But for this specimen it is the COLOR of the Fluorite that is the showstopper. When backlighting is applied the resultant glowing lagoonal blue to blue-green color is magical. It does appear a little greener under incandescent lighting. Very unusual colored Fluorite from El Hammam as most of the finds were yellow to green in color. The sides, while not covered with Quartz crystals, are still micro stepped-growth cubic crystals under magnification with the only contact attachment point being underneath.
