Quartz (Japan Law twin) with Hematite - rare style

This impressive and sharp Japan Law Quartz twin is both interesting and attractive, for the play of colors within. As a bonus, it has a large size for display. The Quartz crystals are obviously sharp twins and within, there is preferential Hematite (iron) coloration which adds depth, color, and definition to the Quartz. Upon the surface is a later generation of Hematite, in the form of 3-4 mm crystallized discs that have a good metallic luster. This unusual cabinet specimen has both interesting characteristics and a nice aesthetic all its own. The color of the hematite inclusions contrasting to the hematite crystals atop, make it unique in my experience, and really just unique for any locality...as most such twins are simply about the quartz geometry itself. I have seen some other broken examples, but none were as good as this from Chinese finds a few years ago. Comes with a custom base for easy display. Valued $4500-5000. Donated by The Arkenstone.
