Item Description

Siglo XX is one of the most impressive Bolivian localities hands down. It is the type locality for many "best in the world" species, and it even produces some amazing specimens of common species like Quartz. The Japan-Law twin Quartz specimens are well known in the mineral world, and this piece is a great example of said material. The specimen hosts a beautiful, very gemmy, colorless Japan-Law twinned Quartz measuring 6.3 cm across, along with additional prismatic Quartz crystals on and yellow spherical Wavellite on matrix matrix. The overall aesthetics are good, and the piece truly looks better in person since it was so difficult to photograph. In decent condition overall, despite some roughness on the front of the actual twin itself. A worthwhile display specimen of this classic material. Valued at $950 in the inventory. Enjoy!
