Item Description
A classic and beautiful 4.2 x 3.5 x 0.7 cm Japan-law twinned quartz crystal is aesthetically set on the sculptural large matrix plate covered with a dense forest of glassy quartz points. The tabular twin is water-clear and is dramatically accented with sharp beveled edges. It is a CLOSED twin, which is more rare than an OPEN twin (see Google for the difference, but essentially it is like a butterfly with wings open or closed...just a bit of a difference in how the twins orient to one another). The quartz points reach 4.2 cm long. One spot of broken crystals is noted near the other end of the piece, but is totally out-of-sight in the preferred display view of the twin. This fine piece is from recent finds in the Himalayas of Nepal, of all places! Valued $3500-plus.
