Quartz (Japan Law Twin)

A large, thick, rare example of a superb Japan Law twinned quartz crystal from the USA, from Arkansas! This specimen should be considered much more rare than a comparable twinned quartz from say, Peru or China. American twins are uncommon, and Arkansas twins super rare, and valued like gold by the miners and collectors there- so they seldom get out! this was collected by our friend, semi-retired Dallas dealer Doug Wallace, in 1989 while working with the mining company. He keeps his self-collected treasures and had owned this ever since. 30 years later, we cleaned it for the first time, revealing its great clarity and luster! It has one very clean, connection repair in the middle from the day he collected it, as it was found (many large twins from Arkansas break at the twin line geologically, but the repair is clean). Note that the crystal twin itself is unusually thick, robust, at 2 cm thickness! And yet, it is so clear you can read through it. It is a significant American and Arkansas quartz, valued by the former owner at $6500-8500, and comes with a custom base.
