There are Brazilian quartzes, and then there are Brazilian quartzes. This one is special. The clarity is just unbelievable, like the purest water. On the surface are subtle striations which give it a ripping beauty. And, to make it very interesting as well, this crystal is penetrated by three smaller, slender crystals and you can see two of them jutting out the back of the crystal, from the striking sharp notch. These are rare positive cast inclusions, quite uncommon in quartz from any locale! The are even lustrous rutile needles to 1.3 cm at the base of the crystal! Ex.
