Quartz included with Rutile and Hematite (ex Matioli)

Some of the most iconic Rutile / Hematite specimens in the world are those from Novo Horizonte. This piece is a cool example of the 2008 find featuring golden Rutile "stars" growing off metallic Hematite "cores" included in a slightly smoky Quartz crystal section. It's more of a reference piece than a top display specimen, as it is contacted but it's absolutely transparent in the center, creating a perfect window to view the lovely iron and titanium oxides respectively. Additionally, the reverse side of the specimen is nearly completely! crystallized too, but you have to look closely otherwise you might mistake it for "roughness" or even damage, but it's actually complete!
