Item Description
This impressive LARGE CABINET specimen is about as brick-red as quartz can get. Obviously the crystals are included with about as much hematite (or some other kind of iron oxide) as I have seen from any locality, but the effect is dazzling. The hematite color-zoning is nifty, in itself. The quartz crystals have impactful brick-red color and the crystals are super glassy/lustrous. It looks like Thunder Bay or Orange River material, but it's from China. A dinged crystal, a bit of modest edgewear and a bit of periphery wear are noted, but the piece is in amazingly good shape for the size, and most of the crystals are pristine. Dramatic, large material from this locale. 11.5 pounds or 5.2 kilos.
