Item Description

From the great Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia, China here we have a wonderful showy display piece featuring a stepped, multi-crystal group of sharp, lustrous Quartz crystals which have a gentle sage green hue from Hedenbergite inclusions, measuring 4.8 cm long, aesthetically perched atop "rose"-esque groups of dark silvery-black Hematite matrix. The specific association of green Quartz on Hematite is not terribly common from this mine, and these specimens are some of the more interesting and eye-catching specimens to come out. The piece is in good shape, but there is a nick on the termination of the top-most Quartz crystal so it's not completely pristine. Still a very presentable and eye-catching piece of this elusive material.
