Quartz included with Fluorite

A striking quartz crystal included with 10-15 purple fluorite octahedrons to 3 mm. The sharply terminated, lightly frosted, water-clear quartz crystal is complete all-around, very nearly pristine, with only trivial termination wear and a contacted area, with no damage. There are euhedral pockmarks on the crystal faces, where fluorites have popped off. This very uncommon find from Madagascar a few years ago represented one of the few new sensations at the Tucson Show. These remain an impressive and highly representative example of this rare Madagascar combination. No more have been forthcoming. This is an excellent example we got in the small lot we obtained and was just uncovered from the recent move. Valued at $275.
