Sharp, lustrous, bulb-like quartz crystals are included with dark green hedenbergite on this striking and aesthetic diverging specimen. The prism faces are very nubby and add much character. These crystals are called quartz "prases". A dramatic and pristine, 360-degree specimen. The flat-topped crystal is a totally healed break. The crystals rest on a matrix of solid sparkly, translucent, andradite garnet microcrystals. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. He valued this shapely combination piece at $400, five or more years ago.
