Item Description

A huge and dramatic pyrite pyritohedron from the famous Spruce Claim of Washington. The mirror-bright, brass-yellow crystal is strikingly striated and has grown around a 7.0 cm quartz crystal (2.7 cm protrudes out of the top of the pyrite). The broken base reveals that there are 13 more quartz crystals enclosed within the pyrite. Interesting. Seldom will you see a pyrite crystal of this large size and quality from this noted locale. Excellent and classic combination material from this dangerous locale. Ex Harold Urish Collection and valued at $1500..
