Item Description
These famous crystals are often referred to as "Herkimer Diamonds", and they are truly some of the most well-known examples of Quartz in the world. Their distinctive habit combined with the superb colorless transparent quality puts them in a special tier of this very diverse species. It should be noted that these crystals are referred to as "Herkimer-Style" Quartz on mindat.org. This piece features a pair of WATER-CLEAR, sharp, highly lustrous, bipyramidal, "stubby" crystals with absolute achromatic purity, and some minor black hydrocarbon inclusions can be seen as well. There are a few nicks, so the piece is not perfect, but still good quality overall.
