Item Description
A stunningly jewel-like, elegant and rare matrix Herkimer style quartz thumbnail from this well-known New York locale. Two water-clear, facet-like gem quartz crystals, to 1.9 cm, with fantastic different crystal habits, dramatically sit atop the mounded matrix of pyrobitumen-included quartz crystals. Nearly pristine, with only a trivial wilber on one face of the large crystal. Matrix specimens of this quality are rare, as the crystals generally come off during excavation of the hard matrix. A competition-level, 360-degree matrix “Herkimer diamond" specimen. We all should value this highly compared to most...it is way better than the norm.
