A pristine, 4.2 cm, doubly terminated, facet-like, gem Herkimer quartz "diamond" is aesthetically perched atop a smaller crystal on this very sculptural miniature pair from the well-known deposits at Middleville, Herkimer County, New York. The water-clear, 360-degree cutie hosts an undamaged attachment on the back with a skeletal feature. Included clouds and bitumen or shale fragments at the attachment present a dramatically different perspective of the interior with every rotation.
