An extraordinary American pseudomorph specimen out of the collection of Jaime Bird - a single large, rectangular crystal of epidote that has been replaced by hematite, which in turn has been ectomorphed by a layer of spiky quartz crystals! It would be virtually impossible for anyone to know what this is without being told, unless they happen to be familiar with the Bessemer claim - it is a real mystery rock!
