Quartz (Gwindel)

A Gwindel quartz shows a natural and strange, dramatic twist about a middle axis; and specimens usually have these unusual serrated edges. Relatively new to market from about 2019, these surprisingly fine quartz gwindels really surprised the mineral world. They look very similar and cost a literal fortune, when found in Switzerland! However, these look nearly identical and come from Pakistan, not an old find, and in quantity for a brief while. They are relative bargains, for sure! Buy one while you can. This is a particularly fine gwindel specimen with a deep and obvious twist to the crystal, complete all around except a tiny chip on the back of a termination edge. This crystal, like most others from Pakistan, seem a little thicker about the middle than the classic Swiss style, but really look similar otherwise.
