Item Description

Quartz is the most abundant species on the planet, but some of the most magnificent examples are those from various localities in Arkansas. The rival the finest Swiss Quartz crystals, Siberian "optic" Quartz or Brazilian gem monsters in size, quality and clarity. This particular piece is nearly 100% transparent in the upper portion of the main crystal with absolutely colorless clarity. The faces are perfectly well-formed, smooth, broad and truly fine quality. A few accessory crystals surround the big boy and make for a great touch. A tiny nick on the termination keeps its from being 100% perfect, but it's still incredibly impressive for what it is. The photos are good, but it's simply better in person. It was priced at $650 in the inventory, and based upon the values I've seen for Alpine material, it's a good value for the size and quality. If you've wanted one of these, but didn't want to spend huge money for a killer, this would make a great addition to any Quartz suite. I particularly like the fact that the main crystal has such bold big faces on all sides.
