An excellent quality and rarely seen Quartz specimen from the famous Portland Mine in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. The pieces features sharp, lustrous, translucent, colorless, doubly-terminated Quartz crystals which have formed in a "faden"-esque growth in addition to being a fully crystallized "floater" piece! A classic specimen from this relatively obscure mine near Ouray, which was best known to collectors for the amazing green Sphalerites it produced.
