Item Description

An excellent quality and rarely seen Quartz specimen from the famous Portland Mine in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. The pieces features sharp, lustrous, translucent, colorless, doubly-terminated Quartz crystals which have formed in a "faden"-esque growth in addition to being a fully crystallized "floater" piece! A classic specimen from this relatively obscure mine near Ouray, which was best known to collectors for the amazing green Sphalerites it produced. If you're a Colorado collector, a Quartz collector or a collector of both, don't let this one get away.
