Item Description
Quartz is beloved for it wide varity of habits and forms found around the world. Some of the most distinctive Quartz specimens found in Alpine deposits are the attractive "Faden" crystal groups. This crystal group exhibits the classic "Faden" (German word for string) form that is well known from this area. The piece exhibits a distinct "Faden" that runs througout the sharp, lustrous, GEM quality to translucent crystals that create this beautiful group. The overall quality of the Quartz crystals on this specimen is very good from this area. This piece would rival many superb true Alpine "Fadens" for size, quality and displayability. These Pakistani pieces seemed to have dried up in recent years, and I personally think they are highly underappreciated for what they are. Enjoy.
