Item Description

Much more familiar from Pakistan to today's collectors (and from Swiss Alps to older collectors!), this is a Brazilian faden Quartz that is very gemmy on the ends with the typical tabular form of fadens and with the characteristic white string running down the center of the crystals. The flattened crystals are all glassy and doubly terminated ranging in size from 1 to 7 cm with several smaller crystals scattered on the piece. The arrangement itself is very aesthetic, it's mostly two-dimensional with two large near the top at the front that are grown onto a couple of near vertical crystals and there is another crystal on the back that points downward. At the base in the front there is one larger V-shaped pair (not twinned) and a smaller, similar V along with a few other, even smaller Quartz crystals. The piece is crowned by a small 1 cm cluster bristling with tiny, 1 to 3 mm Quartz crystals. There are several other crystals on the piece too pointing in different directions. Contacted at the very bottom. An exquisite faden from Brazil!
