Item Description
Classic and showy "fadenquarz" from this well-known Swiss locale. The glassy, transparent to translucent, parallel-growth tabular crystals are nicely accented by the side car crystal at one end. The large crystal is 8.0 cm and is doubly terminated. This is an interesting, pristine, floater specimen, as all of the the contacted edge and end crystal faces are healed and regrown with tiny faces. You can see the faden or "string" within some of the crystals. Ex Brent Lockhart Swiss Collection and acquired from the well-known Swiss mineral dealership, Siber & Siber. When we purchased the collection, this was not assigned a value but similar Swiss quartzes usually sell for over $1000.
