Item Description
Quartz crystal plates of this size, richness and quality are VERY UNCOMMON from the many quartz veins in the well-known Quartzsite area of La Paz County, Arizona. Although the name is from the old veins of crystals, we rarely if ever see a legit piece for sale! This rare throwback resembles quartz crystal specimens from Arkansas. The sculptural and impressive 360-degree plate hosts glassy crystals to 7.6 cm with satin luster faces, gem terminations and milky quartz bodies. In great shape overall. Only one gently bruised termination, a single broken crystal on the right side is out-of-sight in the primary display view and the minimal periphery wear are noted. These are certainly acceptable in the context of this striking large specimen. It is probably from a one-off pocket. From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. A remarkable large Quartzsite, Arizona quartz.
