Item Description

A very impressive large tapered quartz crystal plate from the famous Nikolaevskiy Mine. The water-clear, lustrous crystals have slight veil type inclusions and nifty stepped-growth faces. The dramatic, dominating obelisk is 11.0 cm long. The piece is in excellent condition, with all of the major crystals being pristine. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $150, for free. Ex Vladimir Kuvshinov and Daniel Trinchillo Sr. Collections and was featured in a recent major Natural History auction. Nikolaevskiy quartz specimens of this size and quality are quite rare. Valued at $1100-1400 at auction when the collection was sold off a few years ago.
