Item Description
A showy older specimen of the classic colorless Quartz specimens from Arkansas. Now the piece was labeled as coming from "Little Rock", and it very well may be, but it's also possibly from the Mt Ida area where a lot of these specimens have been found over the years. This is a lovely representation of Arkansas Quartz featuring a handful of very well-formed, incredibly sharp, lustrous, nearly WATER CLEAR, colorless, hexagonal prisms of Quartz with no matrix. There are a few nicks here and there, so the piece isn't 100% pristine, but it's still aesthetic and displays nicely as you can see from the photos. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3444). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
