Item Description
What a lovely cluster of milky Quartz crystals from Dalnegorsk. This attractive miniature consists of a dozen or so single and doubly terminated opaque white Quartz crystals to 3.5 cm in length in random orientation to create this aesthetic grouping. The crystals all taper at their "waists" and the prism faces have tiny growth features on them that make them sparkle, in contrast to their pyramidal faces that are all smooth. There are also a few patches of gray-brown scintillating, drusy Quartz in a few areas for added contrast and interest. The piece is in excellent condition with only one incomplete crystal at the periphery. An unusual Quartz specimen from Dalnegorsk! Not shiny or gemmy, but sculptural. A superb old classic from the worldwide suite of our friend and staff mineralogist, Dr. Tom Campbell (with 1990s era Obodda label)
