Item Description
An unusual looking and very lightweight specimen of thin-walled, sparkly, sugary, quartz casts after intergrown, blocky calcite rhombs. These crystals are epimorphs, i. e. casts after calcite crystals, which have been dissolved away. A striking form. The back is strikingly different, with the drusy quartz "snow" on the dark oxide-tinted epimorphs! A rare and excellent pseudomorph from the famous Bor Pit. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Mass is only 96 grams. Light for the size.
